University of Connecticut Neag School of Education Office of Assessment



The Office of Assessment works diligently with the dean, associate dean, department chairs, directors, program leaders, other administrators, faculty, staff, students, and key stakeholders in the School and the University. Adherence is encouraged to follow the national student, program, and personnel evaluation standards developed by the Joint Committee on Standards for Program Evaluation, Guidelines and Standards for Educational Evaluation (AERA, APA, NCME), Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA, NCME), and the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education (Joint Committee on Testing Practices – APA, AERA, NCME, ASHA, NASP, NATD). It should be noted that the director has been a contributor to the developments of these standards, and she is one of a dozen authors of the publication by the Joint Committee on Testing Practices.
